How should I go about 2 week self-study crash course?

by manniefresh Wed Aug 06, 2008 11:37 am

Hey all, looking for some input

I took the GMAT in June so I am already very familiar with the material. I studied for about a month and a half for the last exam and was dissatisfied with my score, particularly verbal

How would you structure a 2 week self-study course with a strong focus on verbal, especially sentence correction?

Books I have: All the OGs, Powerscore SC Bible, All the MGMAT books except geometry and fractions, and also the Kaplan Premier and 07 Princeton review

I also have 4 or 5 MGMAT CATs left on my account and 1 Official CAT prep (from the test makers)

What score did you get in June and what score are you hoping to get? (include quant and verbal subscores, not just overall scores) Have you taken a practice test since then? If so, what were the scores of your most recent practice test?

FYI - I don't know how much of a score improvement you want, but there really isn't much you can do to raise your scores substantially in two weeks. You can try to work on some weaknesses so that you don't make the same major mistakes you made last time and that sort of thing - but you can't cram for a 4-hour-long test and expect a major increase.

We'll try to help, but I just want to make sure you're aware of this!
