how do i tackle discrepancy questions?

Unlike assumption or structure questions, i dont have a logic set for discrepancy questions....especially the type listed below:

"Which of the following most logically completes the passage?"

passage passage passage passage ____________________.

how do i approach these? find the premises and then what? Is there a defined methodology, couldnt find it in any of the manhattan prep books.

This type of question usually falls in the "Strengthen the argument" category. Check out the CR strategy guide Chapter 5, page 131 (paper copy). However, there are a couple of exceptions to this rule: the key word to look for is the one before the blank - that tells you what kind of function the blank part will perform in the argument.
