I am looking to apply to evening MBA programs in Chicago (Chicago Booth, Northwestern Kellogg). My GMAT Score of 690 is within the ranges I have seen for these programs, but my verbal score is much higher (44, 97%) than my quantitative score (40, 52%). Do you think this quant score will be a significant detractor from my application? Does it need to be addressed, or should I not be concerned given my overall score?
Other aspects of my application include: 5+ years of work experience at two premier firms (investment bank, investment manager), and an undergraduate degree from a top 20 school (USNews). I also studied abroad at the London School of Economics while in undergrad. And, I have completed Level I of the CFA Program (and hope to continue pursuing that designation).
Your thoughts/feedback would be much appreciated!
