Harvard's 3rd Round

I'm currently registered in Manhattan's Chicago Fall I course, which ends on 1/28/08. Harvard's second round deadline is Jan. 6, 2009 and the third round deadline is March 11, 2009.

I've read on various websites that third-round applicants generally have a more difficult time gaining admittance than first and second round applicants. I have the flexibility to sit out a year and apply for Fall 2010. I have a couple other schools in mind that have very attractive programs, but my first choice is definitely Harvard. Would you advise that I apply for the 2009 third round or wait until Fall 2010?

It's true that the 3rd round is hardest by far, but if you're ready to go this year, by all means give Round a shot - worst case is you reapply the following year (and since HBS requires you to submit an entirely new application, your chances aren't better or worse as a reapplicant).
