from the content of your post, you may want to spend some time in the foundations of math book before moving on to the strategy guides. this is an algebra problem that requires you to isolate z using standard algebra techniques. assuming that 100 and 32 are both in the denominator, you would multiply both sides by 100 and by 32 to get z by itself and get the value on the left hand side..
