Guessing Strategy for Bold-Faced CR Questions

by nayanikag Tue Feb 19, 2013 4:59 pm

Hello gmat wizards,

Bold-faced CR questions are my Achilles heel. They are the most time-consuming, and I answer a majority of them incorrectly. If I see one on the exam, I've decided to guess immediately.

Does anyone have a solid guessing strategy that takes 30 seconds or less for these problems?

Thx in advance

I don't think you'll find any tendencies for these types of problems, if that's what you are asking. If it's a weakness for you, guess ASAP. But unless you're really hurting for time on the real test, I'd still recommend you at least try to read the argument and see if you can make good sense of the problem before completely giving up. That said, I think more people would benefit from guessing on 2-3 problems that they predetermined before the test.
