GOT 680,... PLEASE HELP

by andrew Mon Jul 14, 2008 6:35 am

Hi,

I took my GMAT today and got a devastating 680 - (49Q, 34V). My verbal score was never this low. Now,I am stuck and I don't know if I stand a chance for full time MBA programs. I have 2 years experience in business with a concentration in general management. I have done my Engineering in mechanical and have a GPA of 7.6 on 10 scale.

Do I stand a good chance for full time MBA in INSEAD, LBS-MIF, CHICAGO-GSB, NYU-STRN, ISB?

Should I take my GMAT again, given my verbal score is very bad?

Please suggest.

Thanks in advance!

Calm down (and please don't use ALL CAPS in your header - it's rude).

A 680 is within range for the top schools. What is devastating is losing your child. Having your loved ones taken away from you.

Getting a score on a test is far from devastating.

Anyhow, with top schools the GMAT is just one of many things they look at (hint: it comes down to a combination of your overall profile and your application).

That means that i should now focus on my application part....

Is it worth to risk the burden of application fees for top colleges, after having such a low verbal score..

Do manhattan gmat provide assistance in making the application of the candidate strong.
