GMAT test selection Mba programmes

by swathinekkanti Thu Dec 29, 2011 9:19 am

Hi

I took my GMAT test recently. I wanted to do Fulltime Mba for 2 years. When I chose the programmes during GMAT test I selected fulltime mba and then opted for the colleges in GMAT test. The problem is my schools have come out as I have selected. However college programmes were randomly assigned ! . (MS in foreign service programme , master in hospitality). I am not interested in doing any of these programmes. How do I go about changing these options. I have already called the GMAT customer service and they cannot do anything about this. Can I call the colleges and let them know about this or should I seperately apply for the right programmes in this colleges by paying additional application fees.

Please note: I need to apply to different programmes in the same colleges

Thanks
Swathi

Hi! I am a little bit confused by your question. Are you saying that you were randomly assigned an area of concentration?? I am not sure that should matter in your application process, because in the materials you will turn into each school, you would have to specify your areas of interest. Unfortunately, I am not familiar enough with the procedure on the GMAT for having your scores sent to schools to give you more of an answer.

Best of luck,

This mistake could have happend because I have chosen the programme to be full time MBA for my first business school of choice. Next I have only chosen schools assuming the same programme will be selected for the rest of the mba schools. However the way GMAT software should have been designed is different. So I am not sure how but wrong programmes in each school I have chosen have been assigned. I hope my problem is clear now.

So my question is how do i go about letting the colleges know that I am interested in only full time mba. (my scores will be directly sent to the colleges I have opted for). I checked with GMACC customer care but they cannot do anything about it.

Should I call the colleges and let them know or should I apply for these programmes again ( this includes the application fee) ?

Thanks
