4 years of consulting experience
Owns Master of Engineering Degree
GMAT score 610

Will HKUST, CEIBS or INSEAD take me?

Thanks for writing in. In MBA applications there is not a hard and fast rule about what your GMAT must be, however a 610 is well below the median scores of the schools you listed, so you would be applying at a disadvantage. Of that list it seems that HKUST is your best chance for admission, but you'll need to counteract that GMAT score with strong work experience and clear goals, regardless of where you apply.

Thanks for your response, Daniel.

To make that worse, my quant score and my verbal score don't balance. I got 49 in quant, but only 25 in verbal.

Do BSchools look at the combined score (ie. 610) or would they look at the scores individually?

Hi again, they do look at the breakdown of your score, and unfortunately an unbalanced score is going to be seen as a weakness in your application.
