This math also made me confused//

Is 7<n^<8.

1-n>50
2-n<60..

I tried out in this way..

1 says--As its is just yes or no question.So,of if n greater than 50 then root n may be within 7 & 8 OR may not be within 7 or 8.

2 says-- As n is less than 60 so,root n may or may not be within 7 to 8..

but if we combine then it must be 50<n<60..So,C is the right answer..

Am I wrong?????????????????

Aditya, that looks good to me. For 7< root n <8 to be true, n must be between 49 and 64. Thus, our rephrased question is Is 49<n<64?

Though neither Statement (1) nor Statement (2) alone sufficiently answers this question, the two statements combined do sufficiently answer the question. The correct answer is C.
