Hi, thanks for your inquiry. Some of my answer depends on what percentage your verbal score was. If it was strong, (maybe above 75%), and your essays are well written, I don't think you have to worry about the AWA score. If your verbal GMAT is low and the AWA is where it is, there may be more of a concern. The other issue to consider is also around the essays - if your scores are low and the essays are extremely well-written, that may raise a red flag for the admissions office. I know this was a vague answer but some clarity would come from knowing the V%.
