by gmatter_2008 Tue Jul 15, 2008 12:29 pm

Hi

I took GMAT two times now (second time today) and here are my scores.

Gmat 1 : 680 (48,34)

Gmat 2 : 700 (50,34)

Please provide some info how will universities receive if Gmat is taken a third time by an applicant.

Thanks in advance
Chaitanya

Why do you think you should be taking it again?

The GMAT is just one aspect of the application. Your scores are now in range. Move onto the application.

GMAT RETAKE

by GMATTER_2008 Thu Jul 17, 2008 1:38 am

Hi Alex,

I want to retake to have really good chances of Financial Aid.I think I cant expect Substantial Aid with a 700

My Profile (BY 2009)
Age : 25
Gmat 700
Years of W.E : 4 YRS at Capgemini India
Not stellar academics (GPA)

My Target colleges are :

Wisconsin - Madison
Ohio - Fisher
Arizona - Carey
Texas A&M - Mays

Please suggest whether it's worth retaking.I am really confident of atleast a 30 point increase. How will adcoms react to a Third time GMAT score.

Thanks in advance,
gmatter_2008.

Adcoms will question your priorities by re-taking the tests when your scores are already well above the averages for their schools. To be blunt, they will think you are a bit of a tool (even if you feel you have reasons for doing so).

GMAT 750 (50,41) AWA 6.0

by gmatter_2008 Fri Oct 03, 2008 1:44 am

Hello

Sorry for not following ur advice..But I took the GMAT again and this time got the scoreline I wanted (at last!)

750(50,41) awa 6.0

Now Could you tell me how much advantage would R1 applicants have over R2 ??

Is it only in terms of scholarships or admissions too ??

Are there too many applicants in R2 ???

Thanks
Krishna.
