Gap in work experience

by Guest Wed Dec 10, 2008 7:28 pm

Hello,

I am currently working on my applications for '09 entry to business schools. In order to focus on the job at hand, I resigned from my position in September - this will mean a gap of approx. 4-5mths in work experience (depending on the school). However, I have no previous gaps in employment, and have had a solid career of 4.5 years leading up my resignation.

Some schools have specific questions that will allow me to explain gaps and I plan on using these spaces. The question that I have is whether I should discuss this at all in my goals essay?

Thank you,

V

There's no need to address the gap in your essay, which should focus on your goals and how your background makes these goals logical and compelling.
