From 630 to 710 in 32 days using Manhattan GMAT

by asuria.nd Thu Aug 23, 2012 1:16 am

Hi,

I just took the GMAT this morning and scored a 710. Manhattan GMAT is phenomenal.

I had taken it a month ago and scored a 630 (Q39 V37). These are the materials I had used the first time around:

GMAT prep 1 - 640
GMAT prep 2 - 600
MGMAT CAT1 - 700
MGMAT CAT 2 - 640
MGMAT CAT 3 - 700

Princeton book - too basic
OG13 and supplemental books - great practice questions but I lacked the basics
Kaplan 800 - okay, not too great

As soon as I got my first score, I ordered the Manhattan GMAT books. I finished all 5 math and all 3 verbal books in 2 weeks while working 60-80 hours a week. Also used Total GMAT Math for additional practice questions and skimmed CR Bible 2 days before the exam.

Took 3 more MGMAT CATs:

MGMAT CAT 4 -700
MGMAT CAT 5 - 740 (4 days before exam)
MGMAT CAT 6 - 740 (3 days before exam)

Actual score today: 710 (Q47 V40)

I was hoping for a little higher. But given that I only prepped for an additional month, I am ecstatic with my 710. I have to attribute a large portion of my success to the Manhattan GMAT books. They are truly the best of all the books I used.

THANK YOU for creating such great materials.

Wow, congratulations! 710 is a great score and 80 points is a great improvement, particularly as you only had about a month - it's very unusual to get that much of an improvement in that short of a timeframe.

Thanks for sharing and good luck with applications! :)

Thanks Stacey. The 710 worked, got into Columbia Business School and will be starting there in the Fall.
