Hi,
First thank you manhattan GMAT, there is no doubt that your books helped me. I just came from my exam and had 700 (Q47 V38) which is very close to my scores on your CATs.
I need your helped to know where I can apply and have a chance to be a serious candidate.
I am french, M, 27 years old. Since November, I live in the US.
I applied to NYU, Cornell, BC, BU and MIT.
I know my score is not that great. I also expect bad transcripts (maybe 2.6). Transcripts seem unfair when I compare with US format but hope examiners already know that. Maybe you know a good company which does good transcripts?
Concerning my work experience, I started as a trader in an asset management company 5 years ago in Paris. 3 years ago, I joined another asset management company in Paris again as a trader and became after several months a portfolio manager. Since November, I am in the US in a very bad position: portfolio performance analyst because my wife and I wanted to join my wife's family and I didn't expect to have difficulties to find something related to my background here.
I passed a master degree in Asset Management in France and recently passed my CFA (American certification in financial analysis) in two years (which could maybe counterbalance my expecteed bad transcripts because this certification is hard to pass).
Concerning my social life, I was a visiting lecturer in 2007 and 2008 in the university where I passed my master degree.
I joined here a boat and a soccer associations.
Thank you very much for your help.
