We don’t have any indication that that is the case at this point. Still, it is likely that, as endowments and scholarship funds decrease with the market, that the schools’ flexibility will also diminish. Thus far, Stanford has been the most open about its losses and has laid off 12% of its non-academic staff - they mentioned nothing about reducing scholarships.
