failed in gmat 4 times

by rinks Fri Jul 23, 2010 3:46 pm

I have given gmat 4 times and scored 460,490,550 530.On first 2 attempts i have not prepared well, but on last test i worked very hard and scored over 700 in GPREP.And good in concepts. But some how i scored very less and shocked to see my score.Actually i had the serious timing problem in the test.(rush 10 questions in verbal and 7 questions in quant).I was taking much time in some questions to get right anyway. So can i repeat the test bz this is my 5th time? how can admission team will look at that.As with this score i cannot apply to good school anyway. Please help me in this case.

thanks

Dear Rinks,

There is no pass or fail in the GMAT test. You did not get in 200s or 300s so please do not feel bad. You may give again but then see whether the colleges will accept the latest score or will do the average of all the scores.

Cheers!!

Hi Rinks,

Thanks for reaching out to MBA Mission. Traditionally the schools will only look at your highest overall score, so you do not have to worry about any negative perception if you take the test again. Good luck!
