Hi! Practice tests often are a great indication for how you will do on the actual test - but not all of the time. I would try to take the test again if possible. I realize that you are bumping right up to the deadline of some schools, but sometimes if you call, they will allow you to apply and then submit your score after your application has been submitted. As for the AWA score overriding the verbal score, don't count on that happening.
