Exam Pack 1 vs Question Pack 1

by mevicks Fri Sep 27, 2013 4:47 am

Hello MGMAT Experts,

Now that we have the option to choose between two new adaptive tests (via Exam Pack) and a set of official GMAT questions (via Question Pack) does it make sense to go ahead and buy the question pack?

I've already decided to buy the exam pack as its adaptive and gives you a score. I might be taking the GMAT exam next month so these two additional tests would help me gauge my score level in exam conditions. However, I'm pretty confused whether question pack is a must or not. Having exhausted OG13 I still feel its better to review the OG questions once again, rather than going for a whole new set of questions in such a short period of time. Need some expert advice on this. :-)

Thanks & Regards,
Vivek

The two products are useful for different reasons - it just depends what you need. Question Pack is still useful for drilling smaller sets of questions and reviewing, if that's what you need to do. If you have not yet learned everything you could have from OG13, though, then of course go learn what you need to learn there first!

I haven't done Exam Pack myself yet, but I did note that they say no explanations are given. Presumably the questions don't overlap with GMATPrep or OG, so it will be a while before explanations start populating the web. Buyer beware. :)

(Question pack does include explanations.)
