Hi,

I think you're profile is definitely unique and overall pretty well-rounded. You've got great in-field experience and it sounds like you did some solid years of nonprofit management (is that right? not sure exactly what you did with the development organization you mentioned). Duke would be a great fit, as might UC Berkeley be.

A 680 is a good score, but not a GREAT score... since your profile is so non-traditional, it might be worth retaking and trying to get over the 700 hump. I know it's not what you want to hear, but you've got the time and I'd say you should go for it to be safe.

In the meantime, I'd get out of the lab and into a more corporate setting where you can work on and lead teams if possible (within the healthcare field).
