DS from prep software!

In a certain yr, the difference between Mary and James salary is 2x the difference between Mary and Kim s salary. If mary's salary is highest, whats the average salary of all 3?

a. James salary = 30,000
b. Kim s salary = 40,000

my answer is c which is wrong. corect answer is b.

The equation work out like this:
M-j = 2(M-k)
m+j-k=0......i
if we add to i
2k then m+k+j=2k=40000
dividing it by 3 will give average.
