done with gmat 720 Q49 (86%) V 38 ( 84%)

Thanks Stacey and Ron for helping me conquer SC.

Pointers :

Verbal was tough . Sc was a piece of cake after extensive practice but GMAT got me in the weird RC passages . This affected my logical reasoning skills and hence CR and RC went for a toss.


I found Maths little tough but still got a 49(as usual).

I have heard that top 10 b schools consider 80 80 split.Can some please let me know whether it is an urban legend or is there really something like it?

Congrats on the great score!!! You mentioned 'SC was a piece of cake after extensive practice'. Can you please elaborate what material did you use specifically for SC?

I too have heard about the 80/80 rule and read one school that follows it quite seriously.. (Wharton!)

GMATPREP Verbal forum on this website. I am sure you have gone through it. Here are some pointers (In my opinion).

- Go through all the posts on the forum.
- Find out why other 4 options are wrong
- If you have a doubt, ask the Instructors. They are really great
- Make your SC rule guide book .
