Does real GMAT contain OG questions?

by GMAT Eater Wed Aug 27, 2008 10:35 am

I have read online that the real GMAT contains some of the EXACT questions as OG (who needs scoretop when you have OG?).

I have just taken GMATprep (first test 3 times) and I have noticed that every test contained 1-4 questions from the OG or the Official Review. Although these make up small portion questions, it does make a difference in your score.

Can I expect the same in the real GMAT?

Thanks

no, you shouldn't expect that to happen. there is an acknowledged overlap between gmatprep and og, but even that overlap is quite small; the vast majority of the questions in the gmatprep pool are not in the official guides.

in any case, even if you're lucky enough to see 1-2 of the same questions you've already seen - an event that will almost certainly not happen - how would this affect your studying in any way?
if it does happen, you should consider it a lucky treat; there's no way you should structure your studying around it.
