The algorithm is identical for all tests; it pulls questions as you earn them. The computer doesn't know whether it's your 3rd or 4th or 5th test.
Now, you could be getting better and still have your score stay the same or even go down, because this sometimes happens: you get harder questions, so you spend more time on them, then you rush in other places to catch up (usually on questions that you do know how to answer... but now you make more mistakes), and that hurts your score.
Also, just note that you're using "harder" in a relative sense, while the exam is using it in an "aboslute" sense. Various things are easier or harder for you, but the question difficulties aren't based (only) on you. They're based on the entire population of test-takers. So you may think something's hard but, on average, it's easier for others. Other times, you'll think something's easy while others find it harder.
