uninterested = you just don't care
disinterested = neutral / unbiased / not favoring one side or the other in some issue, argument, or dispute

that's the basic deal. if you need more explanation, go ahead and consult one of the panoply of online dictionaries (m-w.com and dictionary.com are two of the most commonly used)
