Wow... What a disaster today (2/22) was. I ended up with a 530 (32Q, 31V). I honestly don't know what my problem is. I did well in practice tests leading up to the exam and didn't run out of time today. I took the test in late December for the first time and got a 540 (35Q, 30V). Here's my breakout on practice tests leading up to my second sitting:
MGMAT CAT 1 - 560 (37Q/30V)
MGMAT CAT 2 - 620 (43Q/32V)
MGMAT CAT 3 - 640 (43Q/35V)
MGMAT CAT 4 - 650 (41Q/37V)
I have extra time (accommodations) on the test, so I'm not able to use the GMATPrep software as you cannot adjust the timer and was hoping the MGMAT CATs would provide some sort of indicator as to my readiness... They clearly did not.
The verbal section of the real test is MUCH harder than Manhattan (particularly the Sentence Correction passages). With that said, the Reading Comprehension passages are on par, but still the Critical Reasoning in Manhattan is too easy. CR is what killed me in the real test (I was getting about 70% of them right in Manhattan). The Quant on the GMAT seemed not to be that bad, so I'm not really sure what happened.
I am, generally speaking, a pretty smart person, so maybe I'm just a bad test taker? I never had great grades in college. I do feel like I know the content well enough to score at a minimum a 640, so this is really frustrating.
