Dear Instructor,

In the nation of Partolia, large trucks currently account for 6% of miles driven on Partolias's roads but involved in 12 % of all highway accidents. The very large trucks -those with tree trailers-had less than a trird of the accident rate of single and double trailer trucks. Clearly, one way for Partoria to reduce highway death would be to require shippers to increase their use of triple trailers.
Which one weakens the argument?
1.No matter what changes Partoria makes in the regulation of trucking , it will have to keep some smaller roads off-limits to all large trucks.
2.So, far only the best, most experienced drivers have been driving triple trailers.
3.Very few fatal collisions involving trucks in Partoria are collisions between two trucks.
4,The safety ecord of tracking company had improved slightly over the past couple of years.
5.In Partoria, the maximum legal payload of a triple -trailer trucks is less then three times teh maximum legal payload of the largest of the single trailer trucks.
OA-A, source prep GMAT

Approach wise: The way I see that the assumption of teh argument that the switsh ot actual trucks them selves can cause a reduction in accident, so to weaken I was thinking what about if its up to the drivers not the actual trucks.
Though I find 'E" is tempting as well.
How to weaken the best this type of question?

hi --

first, please check your source; the answer to this question should be (b), not (a).

second, please re-type the passage and the answer choices; there are over 10 different errors in the version that you've posted here. (if you have a hard time typing in english, please find the problem on another forum and copy/paste). thanks.

by the way, the consideration you've typed (that the safety record is a function of drivers, not trucks) is a big part of the reason why the answer is (b).
