correlation between MGMAT and the Real GMAT test scores?

by n7t7n Sun Mar 01, 2009 2:21 pm

Hi,

Can anyone please tell me what the correlation is?
I got 640 twice on my MGMAT test. I am aiming for a high 600 or even 700. I have been studying for couple of months now.

Thanks ,

I will advise you to study harder. My score on the real GMAT has been 50 points less than my score on the MGMAT test. To get 650 on the real test, try and get 700 on the MGMAT.

We do try to make our CATs as accurate as possible. However, we do not use the actual scoring algorithm (it's never been published). In general, we find that our CATs have a standard deviation of 50 points, whereas the actual GMAT has a standard deviation of 30 points.

You may consider taking the two downloadable tests at mba.com. These are better overall predictors, as they use the actual scoring algorithm.
