Can I strengthen my profile with weekend classes?

by 700bound Tue Jan 15, 2008 10:22 pm

Hello All

2 things hindering me from getting into my top choice programs:

1)Low verbal on gmat (47 on Math and 6 on essay) -620 total

2) Need more work experience (currently less than 2 yrs)

So while I re-study for the gmat and build my experience can anyone suggest some good undergraduate business course or courses in general that I should take that will look good on my application for next year? I am planning on studying entrepreneurship and international business.

Thanks in Advance

Btw...I have my BS in Industrial Engineering and never took a business/econ/finance

If your GPA was decent for top b-school admissions (i.e. above 3.2), then don't bother taking additional courses.

In other words, if your GPA was decent, focus on extracurriculars - find organized group activities that you enjoy (whether it's political, religious, community/nonprofit, arts, athletics, etc.).
