Calculator Function in IR

by sophia.lin12345 Wed May 29, 2013 9:24 pm

Realize that using a calculator is discouraged for the most part unless you really have to...but wanted to know how user friendly the calculator in the GMAT is! Is it worse than a Windows calculator? For example, can you only click on the numbers or can you still type the numbers into the calculator the way you can with a Windows one?

I took the GMAT yesterday. You can type in the numbers from your keyboard.

Thanks, suvkosh. Does the calculator still pretty much obscure the problem text? I'm wondering whether they've updated that. :)

I found the on-screen calculator pretty annoying. You won't need it for most questions but, when you do, I strongly recommend that you get everything set up on your scrap paper first. Then pull up the calculator to plug and chug.
