Berkeley UCLA Part Time Round 2 vs Round 3

by cshen1219 Wed Nov 17, 2010 12:08 pm

Hi there,

Is there a difference between round 2 and round 3 for the part time program at Berkeley and UCLA? According to information on their websites, there is no clear advantage between each round, but I wonder how accurate that is especially since UCLA admits that it gets most of its applicants in round 2.

Hi again,

The general rule of thumb is you want to put your best application forward as soon as possible. Remember you are competing for a limited number of slots, so the earlier you submit the more slots will be available. But you only get one chance, so you need that application to be the best representation of you that you can put together. In other words, a great R3 application is stronger than an OK R2 application.

Hope this helps!
