by milan011788 Mon Dec 03, 2012 3:43 pm

Stacey and Jason received their scores on three tests. On the first test, Stacey's score was 10 points higher than Jason score. On the second test, Stacey's score was 4 points higher that Jason's score. if Jason's averages score on 3 tests was 3 points higher than Stacey's average score on the 3 tests, then Jason's score on the third test was how many points higher than Stacey's score?

A) 9
B) 14
C) 17
D) 23
E) 25

what would be the fastest way to solve this problem? i tried it, but it time went over 2 min and still got wrong ans due to careless mistake

hi,
is this problem actually from the official GMAT PREP software? this folder is exclusively for problems from that software.

* if the problem is from GMATPREP, please post a screenshot as proof (either embedded in your post or posted at an image-hosting site such as postimage.org).

* if not, we'll have to delete the thread. in that case, please read the forum rules first... and then re-post the question in the correct folder, with a citation of the original source.

thanks.
