Are the math stat guide, InAction questions easier/harder

by artivilla99 Tue Jun 09, 2009 9:39 pm

I wanted to find out if anyone has done plenty of the og problems. I'm just on session 3 so i haven't done a lot of og problems and want to know if they'll be easier/harder than than the stat guides. I feel the stat guide questions are pretty easy overall except I know what topic/chapter im looking at so maybe thats y they feel easier.
let me know,
thanks for your support,

Hi artivilla,

Perceptions may vary, but I think the biggest difference between OG and Strategy Guide In-Action problems is not a matter of difficulty. The strategy guide problems are designed to review concepts and give students practice with the mechanics of math rules and solving techniques. The OG problems are designed to test that knowledge, and even designed to trick you.

We've done our best to make the topics of the In-Action problems match the topics on the actual exam (and OG). There are undoubtedly examples in the OG that are both "harder" and "easier," depending on the student and how far into the learning process that student is. You'll see for yourself pretty soon!
