Applying R1 and R2 - what if accepted both rounds?

by beccaguinn Tue Sep 14, 2010 1:21 pm

If I apply to some schools R1 and some R2 and am lucky enough to be admitted to 2 schools, one in R1 and one in R2, how would I handle this situation. Could I postpone my admissions decision until R2 results are in or would I have to make a decision before R2 decisions are made?

Hi Becca,

Assuming you are not applying to any of the schools that have binding "early decision" rounds (such as Columbia), then you have nothing to worry about. Most schools don't require you to submit a deposit until the spring.

Good luck!
