Application before GMAT?

Some schools have an applicaiton deadline a month before your GMAT deadline. I want to apply during the first round to give me the advantage but will not be able to take the GMAT until after I have submitted the app. For exampe if I submit an application at deadline lets say october 15th and take the gmats november 15th, both within deadline will it be against me? the reason I ask is because I don't want the school to see my applicaton without my gmat score and automatically reject me. Any thoughts?

Your application isn't complete until they have your GMAT score, so if you submit without a score, they won't review it until you've taken the GMAT.
