Thank you for your inquiry.
We have definitely helped candidates, who are in their mid-30s, succeed in applying to b-school. That written, we really feel that they are not judged relative to the pool, but are judged on their own merit. If these candidates can show that they have accomplished inordinately and that they have remarkable career potential going forward, post-MBA, then they are in the game and may even have advantages due to the seniority that can sometimes come with additional time with a firm. The key here is to be sure that you are crystal clear with your goals and that you don’t show even a hint of "floundering" in your career.
Because these cases are so individualized, I would encourage you to take advantage of our free consultation. I would be happy to chat with you to discuss the nuances of your case.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Shinewald

UM Wrote:I heard that many b-school (MBA not EMBA) would accept students, age range from 25 to 34; they would not accept a student who is over 35, especially TOP20 schools.
I am over 35. I asked a few admission offices (Top 20) and they told me that my age could be great disadvantage for applying MBA.
I am a female international student and have eight-year-banking background. Undergrad GPA 3.65 in psychology and sociology and Grad GPA 3.5 in Psychology (both from US colleges).
I have never taken GMAT, so you might not be able to give me specific guidance.
However, I would appreciate if you give me some advice which school I should focus on.
Thanks,
