Advice Needed

by JPMA Thu Oct 17, 2013 10:30 am

All,

Looking for anyone's advice as to how to move forward.

History:
Took the Manhattan GMAT course in the Spring of 2012, and took the test on July 2012: 690 V44, Q40. I am a physics/finance person by background so I know I can do way better on the Q.

Had to put test on hold for a year for personal reasons, so began to restudy in July of this year, and retook the test last weekend. To study, I went through all of the Official GMAT homework prescribed in the course (13th edition and Quant review), did 3 practice tests - results as follows:

GMATPrep 1: 660 Q:37 V:44
GMAT Prep 2: 710 Q: 47 V: 40
GMAT Prep 3: 730 Q:48 V: 42

After Prep 2 I worked with a tutor for two hours to identify a one month work plan.

I took the test last weekend, and got the following: 690 | Q: 42 (54%) | V: 42 (96%). Somehow I managed to lower my math score after studying solely math over three months.

I've rescheduled it for a month from now - and would love any advice on how to prepare and continue to study. Would love to crack 700 and goal is 80%/80%.

Thanks!
