Additional Verbal Study Material

by neha087 Mon Aug 13, 2012 11:21 am

Hi,
I blanked out in my first attempt in GMAT in the verbal section (12th MArch 2012) and ended up scoring 580,Quant 41 Verbal 24.I have used the following books for references
SC
Manhattan GMAT SC
KAPLAN Workbook
OG 12 + Verbal Review

CR
Manhattan CR
Power PRep GMAT Bible
KAPLAN Workbook
OG 12 + Verbal Review

RC
OG 12+Verbal Review
KAPLAN Workbook

Tests
Manhattan CATs
KAPLAN Tests
GMAT PREP

I have currently started referring to 1000 SC ,1000 Rc amd 1000 CR and GMAT Sets for additional practise, however I read in one of Stacey's posts that these sources are not very reliable.
I was wondering what other sources can I use for practise in order to improve my verbal score.
I am planning my next attempt around 2nd October 2012

the problem is not that you've run out of sources of practice material. the problem is that you have not used the sources you have effectively. ask yourself this question: could you go back to the resources you've used and point to a random problem with 100% confidence you could not only get the question right but explain why every wrong answer choice is wrong? if you can't, you went through those problems too quickly without extracting the usefulness you needed to from them. in reality, it sounds like you've used TOO MANY resources. stick to official GMAT resources and MGMAT materials, as they are the only ones we know of that you can be confident are written correctly..
