have seen similar posts with the same question and generally the same answer, but wanted to get an opinion based on my personal situation.
GMAT score of 690, but felt I could have done better. Practice scores were in the 720 range and I mismanaged my time a bit on the actual test, resulting in a lower quant score than I'm capable of. I'm aiming for Top 10 schools - HBS, Haas, Kellogg to name a few. Also have a 3.6 undergrad GPA from Boston College and 6 years experience in marketing on both client management and strategy/biz dev sides. I feel like I will have strong essays and letters of rec.
My question is - is it worth retaking the exam to try to get to that mean or above avarage score for these schools? Realize I'm in the middle 80% at all, but slightly below average. Knowing I have time before applications are due, do you think its worth retaking the exam and studying for an extra month for a score 30 points higher, or should I focus on the rest of my application?
Thank you.
