690 GMAT score ... sufficient??

by ferrari2008 Sun Jan 27, 2008 10:09 pm

Hi counselors,

I am a graduate in Management Information Technology from Phoenix (Arizona), with a GPA in university of 3.83 out of 4.0 (95%). I have 1.5 years of work experience, which includes 1 year in a top multinational corporation (consultancy-sales), 6 months (freelancing 'business analyst' in software consultancy firm in Melbourne). I have a GMAT score of 690 (90 percentile).

I just have 2 questions -

What are my chances in getting into B-schools in -

1) Australia i.e. Melbourne B-school (MBS) & Australian National University (ANU) ?

2) U. K i.e. London Business School & Manchester Business School ?

Please be as frank as possible.

Awaiting your reply!

My hunch is that you'll likely need more work experience to have a shot at LBS. For the other schools, it really comes down to your GMAT/GPA combo -- if you are significantly above their averages and you put together a strong written application, you should have a decent shot.

Thanks for the early reply Alex.

Can you also tell me how is my profile for Manchester B-school (U.K) and Melbourne B-School (australia) ?
