Re: Q21 - Chemist: The molecules of a certain

Just record my PoE process: The conclusion mentions "data" and the premise preceding mentions "soil". What we know is: (1) two forms of weed-killer, of which one is effective but the other is not; and (2) soil makes a contribution to the effectiveness in practice for it can break...

I had a tough time eliminating D. In terms of the grammar, which one does the conclusion mean: severe overcrowding on Earth will almost certainly be relieved or will be relieved? I understand it is the former and thus D is incorrect.

Re: Q21 - At a large elementary school researchers

Every single time I went to B. I ended up with remembering the logic of this question. Some thoughts: 1. The P&C are merely about someone who completed the program. Can we know anything about the ones failed to complete the program? Of course not. Maybe our intuition will tell that a group of A ...

I went to A but after blind review saw there are no "findings are evaluated." Basically, the author is describing Olsen's theory without explicit evaluation. B is close but, as others mentioned, there is no "a set of observations" and the general conclusion stands at the early st...

Re: Q15 - Many popular novels have stylistic elements

Can anyone elaborate the nuanced shifting from "unpopular" to "unsuccessful" in D? Simply I based on my common sense understand that a book can be unsuccessful but quite popular.

The real world teaches me a lot about pollutions so that I know a significant distance cannot cut off the pollutants. Just think about the smog drifting across the continent. To me, (A) means less frequent but still positive urban pollution (if the wind blows the pollutants into cities) while (B) me...

Re: Q23 - If a piece of legislation is the result

I still cannot get why (B) is correct. I fully agree with Patrick's explanation of the argument. But I think (B) should be "It concludes that a condition leads to a result merely from that condition is necessary for the result." In the argument, the premise is about the general logic state...

I spent time eliminating (E) and realized that it is not necessary simply because no matter how accurate or inaccurate, we can still reach that their family perceives the personality.

As to (A) - what confuses me is even if the rate is faster during the campaign, is this necessary for the low amount of trash at the end of the campaign? Suppose the rate is below the average before the campaign but the total amount decreases, there could be a lower amount of trash than that before ...

That is, promise should make sense - promis...

One more point to (E) - the stimulus only mentions "very prolific microorganisms" which cannot be equal to "most microorganisms."

I still have difficulty with (B). The levels of spending time on recreation: highest - moderate - lowest. The levels of anxiety and depression: relatively high - relatively low - relatively high. (B) indicates the trend that the level of anxiety or depression, correlated with the time spent from the...

The stimulus is about the nature of a particular plant species. The question is to find the explanation addressing the discrepancy. (A) and (C) seem to be tempting. They, however, relate to quantitative factors, which cannot contribute to the qualitative nature. Only (D) does a good job.

(B), (D) and (E) are tempting. Here are my thoughts: (B) only mentions that few people prefer nutrition to flavor. But do we exactly know how many people prefer flavor to nutrition? We have no idea. The conclusion is experts are supposed to recommend flavor than nutrition. (B) doesn't make more diff...

I also think (E) is super tempting but finally chose (D). Simply, (E) doesn't mention any danger involving in the situation. We cannot assume a situation that anyone fears must have a danger.

Still have difficulty with E. I tend to choose E cuz it explains the first & third scenarios. But I cannot tell anything related to "noticed by others more often" in the volleyball players case. Could anyone please elaborate?
