Re: Q7

How can we know that "higher law“ = ”moral law"? Couldn't it be anything else? Though the passage says that King's opposition was akin to the opposition of transcendentalists, does it have to mean that King and the transcendentalists have the exactly same definitions of unjust law as immo...

Re: Q20 - The company president says

Hi Patrick, I understand why C is a sufficient condition when I see the conclusion as " If both Grimes and the company president were correct, then the contract was violated". However, I do not know how this works when I see the conclusion as "If the contract was not violated, then at...

Q16

Who could please explain why E is correct and why C is incorrect?
I couldn't find where the passage mention anything directly about cakewalk as being one of the first cultural forms to cross racial lines in the US.
I thought lines 50-54 & 60-61 support C.

Re: Q22 - Principle: A police officer is eligible

Hi, Thanks for the detailed explanation. However, I am a little bit confused with the explanation on Penn's part of answer choice E. I don't know where can be inferred that "we aren't given a reason why Penn is out". Therefore, I have a different view. I think "On no occasion this yea...

Re: Q23 - Amateur gardeners who plant based on

I just want to know that do ya all know that the last frost of Spring happened shortly after the first warm spell or first sign of Spring? God damn.... I feel like this is a more agricultural common sense that I apparently lack of...cuz the reason that I didn't choose A and unwillingly chose B is th...

Re: Q19 - One of the things lenders do in evaluating the risk

Wouldn't this question require us to bring in the outside knowledge of understanding what defaulting on a loan means? I feel like that's why I got this question wrong. I think you dn't need to understand what is a default, a loan, and a mortgage. If we worded in this way: In general, the higher the...

Re: Q17 - Since mosquito larvae are aquatic, outbreaks

I think in order for C work, we also need common sense connection between drought and decrease of aquatic insects. I don't understand that both C and E need assumptions or "common sense", and why C is correct but E is not? Question Type: Explain/Resolve Stimulus Breakdown: GIVEN THAT mosqu...

Re: Q13 - Columnist: Banning performance enhancing drugs

I think if we translate A into "Reducing Health risks is the only issue need to be considered for the allowance of using PEDs", then it is more obvious that A is a better correct answer than E.

Re: Q26 - People should patronize businesses that meet

I am sorry but I don't quite understand your explanation for why B is correct. I understand that there is a term shift error in the stimulus, but I can't see how B spot this error. May you explain more about B? If "meet high ethical standards" is in a supporting premises (which means we sh...

Re: Q17 - After monitoring blood levels of lycopene

The reason that I didn't choose A is because the stimulus didn't mention directly that those middle-aged people with high lycopene in the blood get the lycopene from fruits and veggies. It only mentioned that some fruits and veggies are rich in lycopene in parenthesis. Honestly, I don't like any of ...
