Re: PT57, S3, Q6 - Economist: As should be obvious, raising the

For (D), I just thought if most workers already earn more than the current min wage, then raising the min wage wouldn't really make a difference to those businesses since they're already paying higher to their workers anyway. So they could afford to continue employing those workers. But I guess sinc...

Q19 - Essayist: One of the drawbacks

Could you please explain why D is the answer? And why C and E are wrong? I ended up choosing E, but is it wrong because it says it's "based on unrealistic expectations"?
Thanks!

Q6 - Economist: As should be obvious

Hi,
Could you please explain why (A) is a better answer than (D)? Is (D) wrong because of the word "most"? If so, how?
Also, when the word "most" comes up in the LSAT, does it mean at least more than half (half plus one), or at least half? Thanks!

Q4 - Two randomly selected groups of 30

I can see why B is the answer, but I chose A. Why is A wrong? Also, is it safe to assume that stories with more creativity were ranked higher, even though nothing about judging criteria is mentioned?

Q24 - Sometimes one reads a poem

Hi,
Could you please explain why the answer is E? I actually ended up eliminating E and was down to A or C and ended up choosing A. Thanks!

Re: PT 46. S2. Q7 Instinct and Insects

"no insect brain has yet reached a size capable of providing a sufficiently large number of neurons" I took this "capable size" as a threshold size, in which all sizes larger than this either can or not engage in instinctual behavior, but any size below this threshold "capab...

Re: PT38, S4, Q23 - If an act of civil disobedience

I was reading answer choice C (and the others similarly) as: Justified ---> not done out of self-interest alone (or concern others) which would be the contrapositive of the first conditional statement, if done out of self-interest alone ---> not justified. But is that not the case because the ...

Q7 - Although instinct enables organisms

Could somebody please explain why the answer to this question is B and not E? The stimulus states that "no insect brain has yet reached a size capable of providing a sufficiently large number of neurons" (to make complex responses to stimuli). So wouldn't it make sense that brains of insec...

Hi,
Why is the answer to this D? I thought the other answers fit as well and included the principles given in the stimulus. Thanks.

Re: PT36, S1, Q3 - Finnish author Jaakko Mikkeli

Yes it does! Thanks for the clear explanation!
For some reason, I misunderstood C as saying that nobody related Halden's book to Mikkeli, as in establish some sort of relationship between the two....instead, "related" here means informed Mikkeli of.

Q18 - It is said that people

Hi, In this question, I chose D, but I could see how B could be true. Could you please clearly explain why B is a necessary assumption? When you negate the answer choice, does it become: People who ARE dissatisfied with themselves are less likely than others to pursue personal excellence? Or do you ...
