Re: Q7 - Sam: In a recent survey

I agree that Tiya's argument does not *necessarily* mean that Sam's premise and conclusion will not stand the test of time, but it suggests strong grounds not to trust the premise and therefore not to trust the conclusion. Essentially what Tiya does is directly weaken Sam's unspoken assumption that...

Re: Q22

what about A , c and d ? In line 16, it was stated that a social movement theory should be linked to some unusual condition. Therefore, B is correct because if it is not linked to an unusual condition, then an election cannot be considered a social movement. a) A is out of scope because nothing in ...

Re: Q25

[*] I had also chosen C as the correct answer originally after narrowing it down to B and C. Since we know that none of comparisons correlated significantly with the pace of reports about movement activity, we know that we can't necessarily conclude anything. Thus, B is the correct answer because th...

Re: Q7 - Scientists removed all viruses

I'm a bit confused with this one. I still feel that A and C requires an equal number of assumptions for it to be correct. I got C when I took the test, but after careful blind review, I thought the answer was definitely A. Even though we would need to draw an assumption that the plankton grew past t...

Re: Q8

For answer E, I was thinking of another reason it might be wrong or directly disproves the answer. It said in line 27 that all art involves technique. So since all art requires technique, and art that's considered artistic is also considered art, wouldn't it be required for art considered artistic t...

Re: Q17 - Science writer: The deterioration of cognitive

I'm confused. I crossed B out because I thought it's just a premise booster. Are we allowed to choose premise boosters as answers for weaken and strengthen questions?

Any help would be great appreciated! :)

Re: Q16 - Professor: Unfortunately, pharmaceutical companies

Nice work! I would slightly tweak the gap you were describing to "more funding for basic science research" (from the 2nd sentence) and "increased funding from sources other than profit-driven institutions" in the conclusion. If you had a hard time seeing this gap, as the poster ...
