Re: Q23

I got this question wrong as well but D seemed more clear to me around lines 21 " On the assumption that all people would voluntarily agree", I dont think I even read question D I skipped it after selecting C, had I read it properly I think I wouldve picked it b/c of lines 21.

Re: Q9 - Two lakes in the Pawpaw mountains

I believe A is not correct because we dont know if Acid Rain actually kills the fish. It could do a number of possible things besides kill them maybe the acid rain can give them some type of disease and still live or make them breed more who knows! So I didn't pick A bc of that. Answer choice A is t...

Re: Q11 - A hardware store generally sells

I believe (A) is correct for the following reasons. So for starters we know that Max Hammers were on sale and near the front of the store ( id visually picture this it helps) while the Styron hammers retained their usual price and location. Answer choice A nails it because if people only spend a few...

unless ?

quick question about the unless term

if it says "Unless you’re a millionaire, you’ll never go to space"

would this be Space ----->Millionaire.

B/c unless introduces the necessary which is millionaire in this case.

But if i replaced unless with IF NOT what would that make it?

Re: Q13 - If retail stores experience a decrease in revenues

Answer choice B would not be correct b.c we cant infer that it wont experience a decrease in "retail sales" we only know information about salaries which have kept pace with the rising prices which leads us to C, but remember the argument says IF retail stores experience a decrease then EI...

Re: Q14 - Marine biologists had hypothesized that lobsters

Can someone please explain E without the negation process. I cant wrap my head around this answer!!! It's literally killing me, I'm reading the Manhattan Logic Reasoning book and it says this " the answer eliminates the possibility that the lobsters were not hungry". If this eliminates tha...

Re: Q22 - The only preexisting recordings

This question was quite tricky, but after reading it a few times I was wondering if my thought process was correct. The conclusion itself indicates that " MOST jazz recordings WILL NOT be transferred onto compact disc, b/c FEW classic jazz recordings are played on the radio." Well since a ...

Re: Passage Discussion

I believe the scale would look something like this.

Language corresponds in some essential way to objects and behaviors VS. Language and things is a matter of agreed upon conventions

And the author weighing in on matter of agreed upon conventions or on the fence?

Re: Q16 - Madden: Industrialists address problems by

I had to spend a good 10 -12 mins on this problem, I too like the other 4000 people got it wrong but what really helped me understand answer B was " Industrialist address problems by simplifying them, but in farming THAT STRATEGY (simplifying) leads to over simplification. When i was reading it...

Re: Q25 - The law of the city

I was confused b/w C and E and I focused on "Since it accepted contributions ONLY from residents and former residents of Weston".

To me answer C made sense b/c no contributions needed to be registered b/c ONLY residents and former residents can contribute no one else.

Re: Q5 - Because of a perceived social stigma

I believe (E) is incorrect b/c the stimulus does not say that elderly people are less inclined it says that they are discouraged due to the social stigma. There is a difference b/w being inclined by younger people and being discouraged in a weird sense I guess ?

Re: Q1 - Cox: The consumer council did not

Can someone please correct this.

He put the correct answer as C, but the correct answer is actually D. I believe he meant D but accidentally put C (seeing how close they are on the keyboard :P ). I had to go back and redo this question and I kept wondering how the HELL is it C LOL
