Re: Q4

Hi bbirdwell,

This was a hard passage to understand on a first read. Would you be able to provide a breakdown of the passage for us?

Thanks!

Re: Q20 - Some people believe that good

I understand why the correct answer is D. However, I would like an explanation for why B and E is wrong. Is B wrong because "inherited diseases" is too far a stretch from the absence "good health"? In the real world, it's not, but does this answer require an extra assumption and ...

Re: Q7 - Packaging is vital to

I think this answer is easily analyzed if you see the causal nature of what's being said in the stimulus, specifically the very last sentence. Since the can was almost identical to the one used for the earlier beverage, making consumers expect something that is not true -> SO customers did not bu...

Re: Q17 - One should never sacrifice one's health

I answered this question incorrectly when I took this preptest, but in reviewing it, I think it's actually a fun little LR problem that is good for practice. The key to answering this question correctly hinges on two things: 1. Identifying the logic in the stimulus and; 2. Understanding the double n...

Re: Q2 - To discover what percentage of teenagers

I agree that there is a jump from a statement being "particularly ambiguous and amenable to blah blah blah" in the stimulus to a statement being "poorly phrased" as in answer choice D, but many Manhattan LSAT tutors advise that you should be more lenient about the test writer's l...

Re: Q26 - Farmer: Crops genetically engineered

Hi all, This is my evaluation of the stem and answer choices. GEC stands for genetically engineered crops. I bolded words that I think are important and that I am expecting incorrect answer choices to exploit. Premise1: GEC produce toxins & don't need to be sprayed with insecticides. Premise 2: ...

Re: Q20 - The advent of chemical fertilizers led the farmers

After reviewing this question a second time, I arrived at the right answer by remembering to accept the premises as given (in this case, the premises lead to the others in the form of causation). CM- "chemical fertilizers" GM- "green manure" SS- "soil structure" Premise...

I am not an LSAT geek, but this is my evaluation of this question. Premise: Oil reserves drop and rise etc. so oil reserves are unlikely to remain unchanged from one year to the next. Conclusion: Most nations that stated their oil reservers were unchanged from end of 1996 to end of 1997 are probably...
