Re: Q22 - Although human economic exchange predates

Patrick, do you happen to recall which recent problem it was that involved premises contradicting one another?

Re: In and out Games and Biconditional rules

thank you Patrick, your explanations have helped me so much. usually they start with "if __ then" and I don't know I guess this way of stating the rule made me think biconditional. I didn't think it through. Thanks!

In and out Games and Biconditional rules

I have a question about biconditional rules for in and out games. I'm not sure how to put it into context, but let me try using this game: PT48, G1 I see someone asked a similar question in the past but it wasn't noticed or answered and I'd like to ask myself - why don't we write the first rules as ...

Q23 - No non fiction book published by

I struggled with this one and would appreciate help, including whether or not each of the answer choices are valid arguments. IF we weren't sure whether or not the stimulus presented a valid argument, do we look to the question stem? is it already telling us it is valid because it does not specifica...

I was watching the video and confused about two things mentioned, would appreciate if someone could clear up please: 1) on the 7 ski classes problems, at 1:20:18 of the video Regarding following rule: F's class is exactly two hours before G's class Why is this represented as F_ _ G? I thought it was...

Re: Q21 - Curator: A magazine recently

Thanks so much. I understand him saying that the quotes "were intended to suggest that most local residents oppose the exhibit" translates to the principle that you're using a potentially unrepresentative sample. Was the part that they are close friends put in to throw you off and just add...

4th edition practice books - explanations?

If I remember correctly, I read in a blog post recently that the 4th edition practice books have been updated to include explanations as well? Mine only have answer keys. Is it possible to exchange for new ones with explanations? Thanks.

Experimental Section

What does a logical reasoning section feel like when it's experimental? To anyone who has taken the LSAT and had this section as their experimental...did it ask questions a little differently from regular logical reasoning questions? Did it feel weird? more difficult?

Re: Diagram

Hey Mrueda, The way we do this is that this is the thread for the diagram itself. It looks like you're asking about an actual question. If there's a thread for that, please post this there. If there isn't a thread, please create it, and then ask the question there. Thanks! -t I am not sure if my di...

Re: Q16 - Sociologist: Some economists hold

Thanks for the question! The difference between (B) and (E), as is often the case on the LSAT, comes down to the difference between what the author says and what we think he's saying. The conclusion is expressed in the last sentence: "supporters of political democracy can also support marketpl...

Re: Q21 - Scientist: Isaac Newton's Principia

I had the same question as Nina. Could someone please explain this and also why A is wrong? Thanks. interesting but ironically, i firstly eliminate answer D because of the wording "claim", since i didn't notice this wording in the question stem. I thought the part in question, namely "...

Q21 - Curator: A magazine recently

I would appreciate some help on this one. I had it down to D and E and even considered C. Wasn't quite clear on what the curator was trying to establish by pointing out that they were three "close" friends. Please help me understand why we can definitively rule out the wrong ones. Thanks.

Q10

I'm also wondering about #10 1) Similar kind of thing applies that I asked about in post above- says that L and N speak the same language, can we or why can't we put N in Z so that both N and L speak Spanish? 2) Let's say we put N in X. Would that mean the minimum number of tourists who could speak ...

Re: 4th edition practice books - explanations?

Thanks Tommy, Would you please let me know the title of the book you're referring to? I'm confused. I have a book called "10 Real LSATS Grouped By Question Type." Is that what you're referring to? This one that I have only has answer keys, no written explanations. I appreciate the forums f...

Q9

If we're told that K and L speak the same language, couldn't we assign K to Z and figure out the answer that way? I thought that would work but resulted in the incorrect answer A. Why can we only put K in X to find the answer? If K is with L, and they each speak exactly one language, either S or R, ...
