Thanks Ron

Ron,

Thanks for this insight. Will try solving by plugging numbers and not mere algebra.

Really appreciate your effort and also your straight forward approach.

Thanks

Re: The geese that gather at the pond

This is how I went with this: (A) The dogs will form an uncontrollable pack.: Hold this one (B) The dogs will require training to learn to herd the geese.: Not a big issue. Eliminate. (C) The dogs will frighten away foxes that prey on old and sick geese. : Out of context. Eliminate (D) It will be ne...

Re: Rather than accept the conventional wisdom that the earth wa

I have something toward this question and all the answer choices. Who was not accepting the convential wisdom that earth was flat, was it Columbus or the king and queen of spain? If they are the latter (which I feel more meaningful from the context of the sentence) then all choices are wrong. When ...

Re: SC -- Vit E excess

Recent studies suggest that an intake of vitamin E in excess of that found naturally in a balanced diet may actually increase the risk of developing certain illnesses , despite the claims of thousands of people who swear by it as a dietary supplement. (A) Recent studies suggest that an intake of vi...

Re: Prospecting for gold during the California gold rush was a r

The sentence is in Past Tense, we cannot use Continuous tense here. Hence D is wrong.

Re: Siblings Problem - Combinatorics

Two ways to do this problem. There are three groups: A: Having 3 persons, each a sibling of other 2 B: having 2 siblings C having 2 siblings. Suppose I choose 2 persons and both are siblings. How can I do that? Either I choose from group A, or B or C (Probabilities will be added) From A: Favorable w...

Re: During a one-day sale, a store sold each sweater

I agree answer should be C. Say cost prioce of each sweater is C $. Then question tells us that Sales Price is C+30. Statement 1: Gives us the info that total revenue is 270$. (C+30) x No. of sweaters = 270. Can't be solved. So (1) Not sufficient. Statement 2 (C+30) - C = 0.5 C C is known Still we d...

Re: GMAT Prep - Geometry

You are right. see angle QST = x + a (if statement 2 is correct) Then angle RSQ = 180 -(x+a) Now angle RQS = angle RSQ (if statement 1 is correct) Thus angle PRT = 180 - [2 x {180-(x+a)}] This will give desired result. ............................................................ Pls do not insist on...
