Re: Laos has a land area

Hi Ron,

Sorry to bump this up but in choice D and E, why is there no ambiguity about who's population it is. I understand that its obvious that it is Laos and not GB but I still thought it was unclear.

Thanks

Hi,

What is every noun modifier signal that we should be sure to check whether it is a noun modifier?

Re: Gall's hypothesis of there being different mental functions

Sorry to bump this question up but...

Are D and E wrong because of no comma before which. I know the essential non essential modifier thing is never the only reason, but without commas wouldn't you need a that introduction instead of a which?

I just wanted to make sure I understood.

Thanks!

Yeah that helps thanks. So anytime the GMAT mentions line, it has to be linear?

Re: GMAT Prep: she was less successful after

C is an opening modifier, where is E is a clause We can't have two clauses connected by a comma so E is wrong. Also both C and E use the past perfect, but native Germany has to be the earlier event because well she is a native so in E the past perfect can not be used for the 2nd event only the first...

Re: Agatha Christie SC problem from CAT 2

Hi, In choice C and D is the pronoun Their wrong based on agreement? I know its simply wrong because it's not their novels but I was under the impression that in order for you to use their, we need a plural antecedent not an additive phrase, or a subordinate phrase?

Thanks

Really Easy Median Question

I for some reason can not grasp this question to save my life. Any help would be most appreciated.

Given the ascending set of positive integers {a, b, c, d, e, f}, is the median greater than the mean?

(1) a + e = (3/4)(c + d)

(2) b + f = (4/3)(c + d)
