Hi Can you give me the algebraic breakdown of for x2- x < 0 the solution says 0<x<1 but breakdown according to me is x(x-1) <0 1) x <0 2) x-1 <0 x <1 then how did you 0<x<1 ......i understand that this is the right solution but my question is how did you derive it ? but th...

the answer should be 24 a1a2 b1b2 c1c2 d1d2 these are four couples..... we take 1*3*2= 6 possible for one person from one couple for example 1st 2nd 3rd a1 __ either(b or c or d) _ either (of the two not selected in the second spot) hence ( 1*3*2 ) *4 = 24........ please suggest.....

http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=PqHq8Ii i had to post the image cause I didnt know how gmat got 2^8 as the answer... and the terms in this problems make searching the forums difficult. the problem is better seen in the image the answer choices are 2^8 2^7 2^6 2^5 2^4 It should be 2^5.... accord...

thank you 2008....... well I get it you can square it , but I got confused with the exponent rule (2^3)2= 2^6........ in exponents when you are raising the power I thought you had to multiply and not square it........ for ex (x^2)^4 = (x^2)(x^2)(x^2)(x^2) = (xx)(xx)(xx)(xx) = xxxxxxxx = x8 by using ...
